About Alexander Calzadilla

Alexander Calzadilla is a Cuban male originally from Philadelphia, who has happily called Miami his home since moving here at the age of 15. He attended Southwest Sr. High School and Florida International University, ultimately receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. While in college, he began working as a paralegal for the Law Offices of Jeffrey E. Reichenbacher, a position he kept for seven years after graduation. He subsequently worked at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius Associates before landing at Costa Nursery. After distinguishing himself with many accomplishments, he was promoted to the position of Director of Specialty Products, which included the orchid, bonsai and lucky bamboo departments. When Alex was first put in charge of the three departments, they ranked near the bottom. By the time he left Costa after seven years, Alex had transformed the floundering departments into unqualified successes, posting record earnings, sales and profitability. In 2008 Alex was named the Costa Employee of the Year. Alex now puts his formidable prowess as a businessman into his newest venture, Avant-Garde Home Furnishings, LLC, serving as Managing Partner.

My facination with my car.....

My car and me... A truly love hate relationship; but in the end pure love.. and
total satisfaction with a truly amazing car..
From concept, to design, to implementation and introduction in 2011
the Cadillac CTS Sports Coup V-Series.....

I have a love hate relationship with my car, not because it fails on me or because its a clunker, or even runs out of gas without warning or even a smerk from its warning light .. No none of that you see my car is a 2011 Cadillac CTS sports coup V-Series, Thunder Grey.. Although many of you are probably wondering what the hell is he talking about I would kill to have that car lets first have a re-cap..
Yes the car rides amazing, causes everyone to turn their heads, produces stairs from Mercedes, BMW< and lexus owners who paid 20, 30, or even 40 thousand more for their vehicles as they watch me overtake them at ease, without even a roar from my engine. That engine is a Corvette Super Charged V-8 556 HP engine Yes 556. A Mercedes 6 series or BMW 6 series do not have that HP capacity.. But bnow lets get to the unpractical parts of the car..
Its a new car so no one at Cadillac maintenance has any clue what they were doing at first.. I just happen to be the first or very first people to receive this car.. I got t last July almost a year now.. I had to deal with the seemingly beautiful yellow swayed interior with black onyx where in the normal CTS you see silver.. But take another and you find a yellow that easily gets dirty with anything, and although many of you might say cover them you can't, due to the fact that they expel heat and AC through the seating cusions so covering the seats is not an option. Then an onyx which looks beautiful at first sight, that scratches with just the touch of your finger or even if you clean it with paper, and the sunroof, which is not really a sun roof, but a wasted contraption that lifts up and down 3 inches and nothing more... Then there is the bluetooth which because of the built in Satellite cell phone does not sync the car with your phone's address book or contacts, which in my opinion is the most backward if not outright retarded. Then of course there is the trunk which Cadillac will say is huge, of course they will forget to mention the fact that once it goes down, the handles that hold the trunk in place take most of the space.
But I still love my car because at 125 miles per hour on the way you are king of the road.. No one can pass you, or beat you, or even catch you for that matter. With all the years Mercedes and BMW, and Lexus have been around, they are still unpractical, uncomfortatble, and over priced cars and with HP capacities much less then the Cadillac. cadilacs are built for comfort driving and this car is no exception.. 17 adjustments in each seat, heating if your cold, AC if your hot are expelled through the seats as you sit and each passenger of course has his/her own temperature control. The car's Onstar navigation system, built in satellite phones at rates cheaper them most phone companies, the free maintenance package on all new Cadillacs (new in 2011), and the excellent customer service and willingness on the part of Cadillac to make this car a hit have all attributed to feelings for this car. Makes the 12 miles per premium gas mileage seem worth it.
In the end this car is my life, I love to take it for a spin in the perfect weather on spring afternoons, take it to the beach, or simply take it for a spin and scream at anyone in it that simply tries to touch the black onyx central panels or even rub their jackets or sweaters against it.. A little price to pay for having the fastest most comfortable car you can buy in the US car market.. Oh and it looks like the Batmobile.. from Batman.. ad its talking recoqnition is the best I have ever seen, as are its safety rating and engine features.. and with a little extra care its totally and 100% worth having...
Truly an amazing car.. Oh and if your wondering about the yellow swayed material, a $ 2.00 can of swayed cleaner from Payless shoe source is 1000 times better then the $ 18.00 version 5 times smaller Cadillac sells.. and works better as well... A tip for any of you out there having the same car..

Totally built like an American car, powerful, fast, comfortable, & affordable, with a few minor glitches....
